Overview of KCBA
KCBA, the Kuching Computer Business Association is the association for the computer businesses in Kuching, Sri Aman, Samarahan and Betong Divisions of State of Sarawak, Malaysia. Its membership currently stands at 70 consisting mainly computer retailers established in the Kuching Division. KCBA is a member of Computer Sales and Services Association (CSSA), Sarawak and Kuching Chinese General Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The association was formed on 7th May 2000 under the name Kuching Information Technology Association, "KITA" in short. With the advice of the Registrar of Societies, it was changed to Kuching Computer Business Association (KCBA). The association was officially registered on 25th January 2002

KCBA aims to:

  • To unite all computer companies to safeguard and develop the IT business and to foster healthy and professional business ethics with strong emphasis on high standard of conduct, service and performance.
  • To provide a platform for local IT entrepreneurs to meet, discuss and solve common problems affecting their business and to represent them to the government and other bodies on policies, procedures, regulations and other matters affecting the IT industry.
  • To provide business opportunity to its members through organizing of annual computer fairs.
